Ronald Gay, age 65, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Thursday June 9, 2022. He was born on March 31, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio to Raymond and Marie (Adkins) Gay.
He was preceded in death by both parents and two sisters, Sandra Manker of Kettering, Ohio and Cathy Reeder of Dayton, Ohio.
He is survived by sisters Patsy Marcum and Tina Pinney of Manchester, Kentucky. Also left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Debbie (Yates) Gay, son Randall Gage (Florence) of Round Hill, Virginia, daughter Christa Charles of Centerville, Ohio, and four grandchildren: Kayla Charles, Mia Charles, Olivia Gage, Rory Gage, and numerous relatives and friends.
Ron was a heavyweight wrestler for Stebbins High School and Wright State University. Ron worked for Harris Graphics and also Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a Senior Systems Analyst contractor. Ron gave his heart to Jesus at age 18 and never looked back.
He was a former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio and currently an active member at Hillside Chapel in Beavercreek. He was a talented woodworker and fervently enjoyed his woodshop.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Hillside Chapel from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. With funeral services starting at 1:00 pm and interment to follow the service at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia, Ohio. Dr. Art Beasley will officiate.
