Phillips, Ronald Eugene "Fuzzy" 64, of Dayton, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011 peacefully at home after a long battle with congestive heart failure. Ron was a former employee of G.M. and medically retired after 25 years from his heart issues. The family thanks Dr. Amit Goyal and Dr. Wassef Dabbas for taking care of him. Their gratitude also goes to Dr. Corinne Bott-Silverman, Dr. Peter Mazzone, and CNP Loretta Planavsky of Cleveland Clinic for their care and compassion. Ron enjoyed his time with staff and friends at Kettering Medical Center's Cardiac Rehab Department. His passions were cooking and the Cincinnati Bengals.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Imogene Radcliff; stepfather, John Radcliff; father, Everett Phillips; mother-in-law, Lucy Ng; sister, Shelly VanFleet; and nephew, Ryan VanFleet.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Grace Yin Kit Phillips; daughter, Rhonda Kiser; son, Richard Phillips; son-in-law, Jordan Kiser; infant granddaughter, Mia Kiser; brothers, Charles, Douglas (Bonnie), J.D. (Phyllis), Jack (Beth), John (Marty); numerous nieces and nephews, and his best friend, Joanne Berger.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, October 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd.) with visitation one hour prior to time of service.
