Ronald H. Coleman, age 88, of Dayton, passed away February 9, 2022. He was born March 2, 1933 in La Porte City, Iowa to the late Harold and Clementine Coleman. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his son, Ron Inman.
Ron is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joyce Coleman; children: Rebecca Martin (Louis), Cheryl Smith (Patrick) and Paul John Reese; step-son, Colin A. Moore; brother-in-law, Steven K. Roesser; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters: Ann Anderson and Margaret Lukes (Phillip); and 2 nieces.
Ron trained for the U.S. Olympic Speed Skating Team, but was drafted before the Olympics began; he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Ron was a very dynamic man. He taught computer classes and enjoyed skiing and roller skating. Ron traveled on the east coast with a male quartet.
Ron will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Air Force on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 11:00 am.
