Ronald Bruce"Porkchop" Lyons
October 28, 1944 — March 2, 2014
Lyons, Ronald Bruce "Porkchop", age 69, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his father: Bruce Lyons; mother: Mary Helen Music Lyons; sister: Carol Sue Lyons; and nephews: Joe Caudill III & Brian Lee Caudill. He is survived by his daughter: Samantha Jo Leis; brother: Ben (Terry) Lyons; sister: Linda Lou (Larry) Mattes; and grandsons: Braxtyn & Douglas.
Bruce really loved children. He coached T-ball and was an ASA umpire for several adult leagues. He was a great jokester and loved making people laugh. He was a United States Army Veteran proudly serving during the Vietnam War and he retired from General Motors. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Moraine Eagles, especially Mike and Tracy.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until time of service. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville, Kentucky.
