Ronald Ray Baker

February 10, 1952 — May 13, 2021

At the age of 69, Ronald (Ronnie) Ray Baker moved from this earthly place to rest for eternity in the Kingdom of Heaven on Thursday, May 13, 2021.

He was born in Corbin, Kentucky on February 10, 1952, to the late Glen and Vanie (Helton) Baker.

He attended Wilbur Wright High School and Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio.

Ronnie wore many hats. A son, a brother, an uncle, a husband, a friend, and a father.

Ronnie retired as a machinist after 40 plus years of service. He had many hobbies; in addition to running a small business and raising his daughters, Ronnie enjoyed fishing, gardening, and racing cars at the local speedway. Ronnie's most significant and most lasting legacy was his children.

Ronnie is survived by his daughters, Roni (Leland) Armstrong, Brandy Baker, and Kristian (Justin) Kemp. He has seven beautiful grandchildren: Cayla Corrigan, Morgan Slavin, Mariah Verhoev, Hannah Jones, Julia Humpfrey, and Liam Garza. Ronnie was blessed with five amazing great-grandchildren: Jayden Ethridge, Jaxon Corrigan, Sophia Hauck, Rowan Slavin, and Lachlan Verhoev. He is also survived by his brothers, Timothy (Cammie) Baker, Darrel (Margaret) Baker, and Mike (Linda) Baker.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Vanie (Helton) Baker; sisters, Sherry Abrams, Vickie Vance, Paulette Vaughn, Deborah Isaacs; brother, Steve Baker; and nephew, Jamie Morgan.
For those who have chosen to follow Jesus, we know we have the promise of eternal life in heaven, where we'll see Ronnie again. He was not perfect, but he was forgiven by virtue, which gives us hope at this time.

Donations in Ronnie's honor can be made to The American Heart Association or a cancer charity of your choosing.
