Ronald B. McConnell, 73, of Dayton, passed away January 5, 2016. Ronald was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 28, 1942 to the late Lawrence and Katherine McConnell. Ronald retired from Rubber Seal after 28 years of service. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his life partner, Lois Rice; son, Rodney (JoAnne) McConnell; daughter, Amy (Kevin) DeBoard, Melissa McConnell; grandchildren, A.J., Dustin, Cassidy, James, Krystal, Christina, Jordan, Kasey; great grandchildren, Paige, Brooklyn; brother, Lawrence (Janet) McConnell; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.
In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley, Oraetta, and Bonnie.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 3pm-4pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, where funeral services will follow.
