Ronald Maurice Alexander

July 27, 1967 — November 12, 2022

Ronald Maurice Alexander, "Ronnie", age 55, of Dayton, passed away November 12, 2022.

He was born July 27, 1967 in Tallahassee, Florida to Ronald and Glenda (Vaughn) Alexander.

He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Alexander, his brother Richard Alexander and many lifelong friends.

Ronnie is survived by his mother (Mother dearest) Glenda Vaughn; He adored you and thought that you were the best mom ever. He remembered that you made everything special, that there was nothing you wouldn't do to keep your kids together. His children, his daughter, (his "Baby dolls" ) Heather Williams and Joe, Brittany Alexander and Kyle. Rachel Alexander, and his son, his pride and joy, Rahn Alexander and Nakyah. The mother of his children and one true love, Shelia Alexander; His grandchildren, Meleah, Kayden, Keira, Karter, Zayden, and Blake.
He is also survived by his siblings, his sister Sherry Klan and her daughter Nikki's Fuerguson and Robert, his brother Damon Alexander, his sister Michelle Alexander, his brother Jerry Alexander and Jerry's sons Tony, Brian and Zach. And so many other family members, friends and loved ones.

Ronnie was a lifelong resident of Dayton and was a devoted father, grandfather and friend.

He was a professional flooring installer for 40 years, and had quite the reputation for his mad flooring skills and for doing it right the first time.

He loved the outdoors and he really loved to fish.
He enjoyed playing poker and shooting pool. Thrifting and getting a bargain was one of his favorite things.

He loved life and lived like we all want…like every day was a celebration.
He was spontaneous and adventurous and was always ready for fun.
Sometimes that fun would catch up to him, but he always circled back around because of his family.

It mattered to him that EVERYONE was happy and having a good time.
He would be thrilled to have so many people he cares about in one place, but would have been humbled that it was about him.
He would have hated to miss this. He would probably say something like "cheer up you big bunch of cry babies".
Ronnie IS here in spirit today,….
probably wondering when "his noise" as he called music, was going to be turned all the way up so he could start dancing.

Ronnie was Larger than life. He was adventurous, spontaneous, and generous. He loved to bear gifts. He seemed to show up with that special something that he just knew you would love …and he thought of you as soon as he saw it. He would also remind you that he is not a prisoner to his belongings.

Ronnie will always be remembered for his energy,
He was a force of nature. He did everything as hard as he could.
Especially, expressing love of family and life. His laugh was contagious and his antics were sometimes as excessive as he was. But even when they were too much, It was hard to stay mad at him.
He made everyone feel special in his own way.

He was a man of many faces. The words that were used to describe Ronnie were Loving, Courageous and Loyal. The best Grandpa ever! ..but not papaw because that was too hiljack.

He seemed to understand others deeply and didn't know a stranger, especially if they were in need.
He would remind his children that everyone in this world was to be treated fairly and he would teach them how to be respectful, but also to take no crap.

Ronnie's ism to teach, we're phrases like "You Knew better so do better".

He is a reminder that so powerful is the influence of a single life. No matter how humble or outrageous it seems.

Ronnie, He was a story teller of storytellers. So today, we will honor Ronnie with his stories and celebrate the life of the man who definitely lived it!

The time of mourning the loss of a loved one leaves many confused and in a state of shock. The uncertainty of life and the stark nature of death , can leave us feeling lost about the truth of our path and purpose. I ask that you all be guided and comforted the the valley of the shadow of death. That you are provided a pasture that is green, a pathway that is straight, and hope and comfort through your tomorrows. The real difficulty is not only saying goodbye to Ronnie's presence and time on this earth, but grieving the part of you that existed in him. He lives on in you. Through your memories of him, and the love you hold in your heart, his spirit will remain with you all. Always.
Be comforted knowing that Ronnie is in the next best place… along side his father and his brother.

Dear Lord, we ask that you watch over Ronnie's family and friends as they grieve the loss of his earthly presence. Give them comfort and strength In knowing his soul has found peace. Amen
