Ronald Lee Goforth, age 79 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Samuel and Velma Goforth.
Ron was an amazing man who loved family first and was loved by all. Those who knew him all agree he was responsible, humble, and hilarious. Ron retired from Inland (General Motors) after 35 years. He was an avid golfer and Ohio State Fan. He was recognized as an Honorary TWIG by the TWIGS Auxiliary of Dayton Children's Hospital for his continuing 30 + years of support of many projects with TWIG 45 and Sugarplum Festival of Trees.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Dave O'Cull.
Ron will be missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Rosemary "Rosie" Goforth; children, Sheila Shroyer, Sande O'Cull, Ryan (Mia) Goforth, Jennifer (Harold) Lewis, and Tara (George) Off; grandchildren, Robin (Lucas) Lewis, and their children, Easton and Millie Hammonds; Sydney Settle, Dusty Lewis, Hunter (Haley) O'Cull, Evan Goforth, Derek O'Cull, and Ava Goforth; sisters, Ginger Barna, Hazel Wolf, and Terry Harmon; brother, Sam Goforth; and many long-time close friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 2-6 p.m. with a memorial service at 3 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton.
