Ron L. Ballard

Ron L. Ballard, age 71 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born June 21, 1948 in Mount Sterling, KY to the late Walter Ballard and Ida Mae Jackson.
Ron proudly served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Ron was hard working and independent. He retired from General Motors after 31 years. Ron was a loving husband and father who wanted a good life for his children. He will be remembered for his dependability and loyalty.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jay Ballard.
Ron will be missed by his loving wife of 36 years, Carol; daughter, Kimberly (Jason) Scott; son, Michael Ballard; brother, Homer (Linda) Ballard; numerous half-brothers and half-sisters and his friend, Dave Potter.
Family will receive friends Monday, November 18, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton where the funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Interment Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
