Rollin E. Douglas

DOUGLAS, Rollin E., age 86, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2009 after a lengthy illness. He is preceded in death in 1992, by his wife of 44 years, Jean Douglas and sister, Dortha Statler. Rollin is survived by his son, Scott (Sue) Douglas; siblings, Ted (Mary) Douglas and Shirley (James) Lowe; grandsons, Brian and Carl Douglas; great granddaughter, Yula Douglas, as well as several nieces and nephews. He worked for the Sharon Steel Corporation for over 35 years as a manager of sales for specialty steel products. From 1993 to 2005, he was owner of the Thanks for the Memories engraving service. He was a veteran of WWII in the United States Marine Corps., where he served in the Pacific. He held the longest standing membership with the Warren Chapter of the Elks Club, spanning over 60 years. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Association.
