Roland Dale Smith
November 18, 1920 — February 6, 2013
Smith, Roland Dale, 92, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 11:25pm at Hospice of Dayton.
Roland retired from NCR after 30 years of service. He took great pride in being a member of Toastmasters; and was the owner of Linden Ave. Florist for many years. He donated to the disabled veterans.
Roland was preceded in death by his wife, Belpha; and is survived by his daughter, Brenda Myers and Ben of Vandalia; his sons, Gary Smith and Kathy of Leander,TX, and Bradley Smith and Rita of Xenia; his sister, Marguerite Wilder of Dayton; 6 grandchildren, Ashley, Cody, Megan, Bailey, Broc, and Tyler; and by 4 great grandchildren, David, Wyatt, Brianna, and Bradley.
Visitation and service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek, Ohio from 9:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, February 23, 2013. Immediately following Roland will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
