Roger W. Whiting
Age 68, of New Carlisle, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence & Ethel (Morris) Whiting; two sisters, Viola Hartman & Wyoma Taylor; and by two brothers, Donnie & Jim Whiting.
Roger is survived by his wife of the past 25 years, Mary (Brown) Whiting; five children, Jeff, Leah, Lisa, Virginia & Darlene; ten grandchildren; one brother, Rick; two sisters, Joanne & Marilyn; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Roger retired from GM with 33 years (& 3 months) of service and was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. The family will be receiving friends from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be at Willow View Cemetery.
Contributions may be made in memory of Roger to ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) Foundation.
