SHIRK, Roger, age 89, of Beavercreek, was taken home by our loving Lord on Monday, February 9, 2015.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia Shirk. He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Duffy; son, Randy and daughter-in-law, Patti Shirk; son, Ronald Shirk (Susan Rothwell); daughter, Robin and son-in-law, Gary LaPorte; grandchildren, Christopher Shirk, Christina Crosby, Ronald Shirk, Jr., Joshua Shirk, Christopher DeBusk, Ryan Shirk, and Rebecca Gray; great-grandchildren, Caleb Medders, Bryce Braddock, Aleeya and Cloe DeBusk, Abigail Crosby, Julianna Shirk, and Graylynne Olivia Altman.
"He was retired, he was happy that he could spend more time doing what he loved best…which was sitting at his easel in his art room and painting. Dad was an amazing artist…and that is what he was doing when he left us."
Memorial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's.
