Roger S. Roop

Roger S. Roop, 91 of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away May 26, 2024. Beloved father of Gerald Roop and Dean Roop, father in law of Pamela Roop; brother of Loran "Junior" Roop, Dwight Roop, Denver Roop and Gary Roop, Grandad of Dustin Roop and Gina (Kevin) Allen. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Gabrielle, Nyla and Madison.

Roger was preceded in death by the love of his life Jill Valerie; parents Loran and Grace Roop; his oldest son Dennis Roop and his siblings Norman Roop and Yvonne Myers.

Roger was born in Jonesville, Virginia. He proudly served in the United States Army as well as 20 plus years in The United States Air Force. He retired after many years working for Dayton Power and Light. He loved to take care of his family and loved ones. He was a devout Christian who served the Lord. He will be sorely missed by many.

Public visitation will he held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd) on Monday June 3, 2024 at 12:00 pm with funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at Beaver Cemetery next to his wife and his son. His service to our country will be honored at time of burial.
