Roger Ostrander

Roger A. Ostrander, age 46 of Brookville, passed away unexpectedly January 7, 2011. He was born June 3, 1964 in Dayton to the late John Robert Ostrander and Shirley A. Ostrander, who survives. In addition to his father, Roger was preceded in death by his grandmother, Florence Waldespuhl; brother, Mark Ostrander; and fiancé, Sheila Swinford Brake, who passed away along side Roger as a result of a house fire.

Roger is survived by daughter, Erica Ostrander; son, Mark Ostrander; 2 grandchildren: Natalie and Maddison Miniard; siblings: Grant Ostrander, Joyce Yonker, Robert Ostrander and Nancy (Bob) Rose; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Roger was an employee of Gallagher Tires, where he worked for 21 years.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service, 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
