Roger Lee Kitchen

KITCHEN, Roger Lee, age 71, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 31, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sally Kitchen; sister, Bobbie Ann Salyers, and brother, Ben Kitchen.

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Nacola Kitchen; sons, Tim (Jennifer) and Chris Kitchen; grandchildren, Micah, Timothy, Hannah, Isaac, Rachael, Caleb, and Titus; brother, John (Sandy) Kitchen, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and "adopted" daughters and grandchildren.

Roger served his country in the U.S. Army with the 2nd Battalion 15th Infantry and was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church. He was a quiet man, who impacted the lives of those around him, and will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, February 4, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Pastors Tim Kitchen and H.C. O'Bryant will be officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
