Age 61, of Dayton, passed away Monday, January 1, 2007, at Hospice of Dayton. Roger was born February 19, 1945 in Council, Virginia to Alex & Arlen (Dye) Compton. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his girlfriend, Cathy Fuller.
Roger is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly & Alan Richmond, Shelly & Terry O'Daniel, Christa & Bobby Jones; one son, Lance & Carrie Compton; six grandchildren, Heather, K. C., Christopher, Leah, Ridge, and Clayton; one brother and sister-in-law, Jack & Kathy Compton; nephew, Shane & Lynn Compton and their children, Sydney and Paige Compton.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Pastor Jerry Siler will officiate. Interment West Charleston Cemetery, Tipp City.
