Roger Dale Hock

Roger Dale Hock, age 62 of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at his residence. He was born September 6, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late George and Beatrice Hock.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Brian Hock; and twin sisters, Linda and Brenda Hock.

Roger is survived by his wife of 42 years, Deborah; daughter, Rachelle Shepherd; sons, Roger (Sarah Morris-Hock) Hock II, Thomas G.W. Hock, Chuck (Shawna) Howard; former son-in-law, Richard Shepherd; former daughter-in-law, Tina Martin; eight grandchildren, Logan, Adam, Alexis, Dorothy Jean, Thomas G.W., Leland Tommy Dale, Emily Raye, Robin; family friend, Terry Nelson; brother, George Hock; Aunt Mel; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Roger was a volunteer firefighter for Madison Twp. Fire Dept. for 20 years.

The family would like to extend a special "thank-you" to the Burn Unit at Miami Valley Hospital, Dr. Johnson, Dr. Wonderlich and Dr. Smith and their staff for their wonderful care and compassion.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 3 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm - 9 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424).
