Roger L. Goubeaux, age 79, of Tipp City, passed away on February 2, 2023. He was born on July 12, 1943 to Orville and Estelle Goubeaux.
He was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Daimler Chrysler in 1997, after 31 years of service. He also served his community as a Bethel Township Trustee for several years.
Roger was gifted with many talents and hobbies.
He loved to fish and build his collection of fishing gear. He was a talented welder and craftsman. He always had a project in progress. He was an avid vegetable gardener. Undoubtedly, the thing Roger loved most was being a Grandpa.
Roger was preceded in death by his father, Orville Goubeaux.
His memory will be cherished by his devoted wife of 44 years, Paulette Goubeaux; his children: Vicki Goubeaux, Julie Burgess, and Leanne (Casey) Hardenbrook; grandchildren: Hali, Hannah, Charlotte, Tess, Ziva, and Raven; his siblings: Patricia, Tim & Sharon, Karen, Sherry & Bill, Lori & Kenny, Doug, and Beth; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Family and friends are welcome to casually gather from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, where the Memorial Service will begin at 3:00pm.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and doctors at the Premier Blood & Cancer Center, the John Dugan Infusion Center and at Kettering Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or The Gang of Seamstresses (via the Greene County Community Foundation with Gang of Seamstresses in the memo line). The family also encourages you to donate blood in Roger's memory.
