Roger Lynn Gamertsfelder, 81, of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born on November 19, 1942 in Sidney, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Gamertsfelder (2023) and his cousin Janet Houk (2023), among others. Roger was the last known living relative in his family.
Roger is survived by numerous friends of both his late wife Linda as well as of his.
Roger was a graduate of Sidney High School, received his bachelor’s degree from Murray State University in Kentucky, and was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1961 to 1965 during which time he served on the USS Neptune. Roger was also a US Air Force Reserves Veteran from 1972 to 1974. Roger also worked many years after his military service as a security officer at Grandview Hospital in Dayton. Roger enjoyed fishing, sail boats, and shared a love for the many dogs that Linda and he shared over the years. Roger will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Roger’s cremated remains and final resting place will be with his wife at Miami Memorial Park in Covington, Ohio.
