Roger Wayne DeBord passed away Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 at Kettering Hospital surround by his loved ones.
Roger was born September 26, 1948 to Frank and Gladys DeBord. He is proceeded in death by his parents, and several brothers and sisters. He was the youngest of thirteen children, born in Olive Hill, Kentucky. Roger moved to Ohio in 1968 where he began his career at General Motors Assembly Plant in Dayton, Ohio.
Roger is survived by his wife, Marla Kay DeBord (Humphrey) of 30 years; one brother, Bobby DeBord (Darlene) and three sisters, Shirley Gordon, Sue (Mark) Turkson, and Virginia Plunkett; his two sons Thomas (Bridgette) DeBord, and Donnie (Michelle) DeBord.
Roger had five grandchildren; Dale (Tiffany) DeBord, Sarah (Dalton Curtis) DeBord, Abby DeBord, Tayler (Chase Collins) Burnette, and Hailey Burnette, and two great grandchildren, Tanzy and Lillie DeBord along with many great nieces and nephews.
Roger's greatest pleasures in life were being outside. He loved golfing, fishing, watching sports, gardening, sitting on his front porch talking to his neighbors, and spending time with his family. He was the biggest University of Kentucky fan and the original Cleveland Browns fan.
A celebration of life will be held this summer in July at their home in Xenia, Ohio.
