Roger W. Bogard

Roger W. Bogard, age 77 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018. He was born in Dayton, OH on August 17th 1940 to the late Howard and Sarah Bogard. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his sisters, Peggy, Sarah Jean, Marilyn, Connie, Colletta and Shirley; brothers, Richard, Robert and Eddie.

He is survived by his daughter, April; son, Billy Joe; siblings, Sandy (Jim), Brenda (John), Danny (Joy) and Ronnie; 4 grandchildren (3 girls and 1 boy) and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Roger made friends where ever he went. He definitely was people person and he lost many family members and friends over the years but Roger was still a guy that went through life with happiness in his heart. He was a father and a brother that cared about all of his family members but there was one thing that Roger would do if he could and that would be walking around the lake casting his line out in the water, and reeling in the big one!

He will be forever missed.

Family will receive friends from 1-2 PM on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Newcomer Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, OH 45432 where a memorial service will begin at 2 PM.
