Roena Williams

Roena Williams, age 37 of Jonesboro, GA, formerly of Dayton, OH, passed away July 8, 2018. She was born May 24, 1981 in Dayton to Terry and Phyllis Lanier. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Paul and Minnie McKelvy & Robert and Mammie Williams.

In addition to her parents, Roena is survived by her daughter, Taylor Williams; sisters: Carmen Williams Norvell, Nikki (Brian) Turner, Robin Williams, Rosalind (Eric) Tyner, Chanell Williams, Heather (Gerald) Bentley and Holly (Shawn) Jones; brothers: Steve Baker, Percy (Juliet) Lane, Lamont Williams and Robert Williams; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Our sweet Roena was taken from us too soon. She was sweet, caring, funny, loving, and giving. Roena loved to get up and dance and make others around her feel happy; she was one of a kind. Roena will truly be missed by all who knew her. From her mom, "I love you so much! I will always have you in my heart! Always watch over me, Taylor, dad and your sisters."

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10-11 am on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Apostolic Lighthouse Church, 2221 Harshman Road, Dayton, where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, N. Dixie Drive, Tipp City. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road.
