Rodney Vaile Youngman

Rodney Vaile Youngman, of Kettering, Ohio passed away June 29, 2009. He was born March 8, 1919 in Dayton, Ohio to Robert W. and Myrtle Youngman. He is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Winifred (Trimbach) Youngman; two daughters, Anita Khalap (Rawloo) and Victoria Youngman; grandaughter, Dr.Ashley Peko, grandson, Vaikunth Khalap; beloved pet Becky. His humble brilliance made him a pilot in 1933, then a WW II flight instructor, becoming one of the original members of the silver wings, and a member of the AOPA since 1948. He made his career as a general contractor and spent his retirement years as an avid organist, banjo player, ukulele player, singer, and consultant. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3949 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Interment will follow the service at Davids Cemetery in Kettering. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until time of service at 2:00 P.M.
