SCOTT, Rodney H. "Rod" age 64 of Huber Heights, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Winifred Scott. He is survived by Carol, his loving wife of 37 years, whom he married at Bethel Christian in 1967. He also leaves behind, his children Martin J. Scott, Joseph R. Scott, Anthony A. and wife Lori Scott; 4 grandchildren; sisters-in-law Betty and husband Chester Dunn and Phyllis Thompson; brother-in-law Bill and wife Betty Graeter; many special cousins and dear friends. Rod was a 1959 graduate of Wayne High School and attended Indiana Central College. He retired from Law Enforcement Service with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and as Chief of Police in Randolph Township. He also retired from Ohio Causality Group after many years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church of Huber Heigths. Rod was very active in youth ministry for over 45 years. One of Rod's favorite quotes, "A hundred years from now the future may be different because I was important in the life of a child." All those who knew and loved Rod will never forget him. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, June 3, 2005 at the First Christian Church of Huber Heights 6114 Fishburg Road, with Pastor David McClary officiating.
