Rodney "Rod" Parkison, age 51 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was born January 28, 1966 in Dayton, Ohio the son to Betty Parkison.
Rod was a truck driver for over 25 years. He was dedicated to his kids and his grandchildren. Rod will always be remembered for his unique personality and crazy sense of humor.
Rodney will be missed by his loving wife, Cheryl Parkison; beloved mother, Betty Parkison; children, Randi (Ben) Johnson, Rodney Wayne Parkison, Jr., Natasha Whitt, Ashlee (Clay) Brown, Justin Whitt and Zackary (Jackie) Robbins; grandchildren, Remington, Brentley, Kelsi Ann, Daron, Ethan, Kylah, Burke, Beckett, Ryan, Justine, Amyiah, Alayna; brothers, Charles "Chuck" Parkison, Randy Parkison, Mel Parkison and Shane Parkison; best friends, Victor Arnett and Tom Brown; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Family will receive friends Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3:30 p.m at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424.
