Rodney K. Jones

Rodney K. Jones, age 76, of Beavercreek, passed away on April 3, 2024. Rodney was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 31, 1947 to the late Donald and Lucille Jones.

Rodney is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jason Jones.

He is survived by wife of 33 years, Gale Jones; son, James Jones; daughter, Ashley (Haley); daughter, Brittany Jones; son, Brandon (Shannan) Jones; grandchildren, Katie, Jenna, Mason, Andrew, Ethan and Emma; great-grandson, Tayshawn; he was called Dad by so many; sis, Betty Jane; as well as numerous friends and extended family.

Rodney continued ownership of Champion Pools after his father's retirement for many years before transitioning into a role in transportation. He was a member of the Dayton Moose Lodge #73 for several years as well as the Beavercreek Senior Center.

In his free time, he enjoyed playing pool, riding his scooter, tinkering with small motors, watching airplanes and spending time with his friends and family. Rodney loved to be outdoors and sitting on the patio with Gale and listening to music.

He was a jokester. Rodney never knew a stranger and he could spark up a conversation with anyone. He was a kind, caring, genuine and loving man.

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Thursday, Apri1 11, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek), where a memorial service will begin at 7:00pm.
