Rodney Horton

HORTON, Rodney G. Jr., 66, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at the V.A. Hospital. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents Rodney and Mary( Withum) Horton and sister Francis Rickard. He is survived by his wife Betty; brother Jerry (Carole) Horton; daughters Marie (Matt) Pintar, Kathy (John) Bowen; sons Jim, Dave (Maggie) ,John, and Sam Horton; grandchildren William, Michael, Andrew, and Anna and many friends. Rodney was a U.S. Army and Marine Corps veteran with service during the Vietnam War, a member of Victory Baptist Church in Beavercreek and did missionary work for 5 years. Rodney was also a former principle at Temple Christian School. Funeral services 10 a.m., Sat., Jan. 15, 2005 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Rodneys son Sam and Pastor Bill Keen co-officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
