Rodger Lee Craig, 51, of Springfield, a beloved brother and father went home to Jesus on November 23, 2014. He was born in Springfield, Ohio May 12, 1963; the son of John A. Craig and Shirley J. Craig.
Brother loved life! He loved his family and son. Brother was a big kid at heart. Christmas was his favorite time of the year. Family was very important to him. Brother loved Jesus! He helped anyone he could who needed it! Brother was a Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Reds Fan.
Brother was preceded in death by his parents, some aunts and some uncles. He is survived by one son Austin Craig of Springfield; one brother John (Cathleen) Craig of Springfield; two sisters Mary (Harold) Hale of Dayton, Ohio and Diantha Fisher of Springfield, Ohio; nieces Caitlin, Courtney and Isabella Fisher of Springfield, Ohio; great nieces and nephews. A very special family Michelle, Allyson, Hunter, Cannon and Graycie Howald, Johnny and Michael of Springfield, Ohio; dear and very special Aunt Jeannetta Gilreath of Springfield, Ohio; other aunts Judy Upton of Springfield, Ohio, Barbara Upton of New Carlisle, Ohio, Dianne Upton of St. Paris and Barbara Craig of Xenia, Ohio and special friend Robin Spears of New Carlisle, Ohio. Brother had lots of cousins whom he loved! He attended Victory Temple in Fairborn, Ohio.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:30 - 1:30 pm on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek where a funeral service will follow at 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia. Officiating the service will be Pastor Tim Walden.
