Robert J. Zugelder, 70 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2004. Robert served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, was a graduate of Chaminade H.S., and retired from General Motors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mary Zugelder; brothers, Pete and Mike; and sisters, Mary Ann Slyder and Kate Partlow. He is survived by Cecilia (nee Flanagan), his loving wife of 46 years; children: Celia (Larry) Coriell, Bob (Karen) Zugelder, Diane (Michael) Lovelace, Linda (Tom) Finch, and Jim (Beth) Zugelder; Grandchildren: Kristoffer, Kimberlee, Marcus, Elizabeth, MacKenzie, Zachary, Erik, Austin, Robert, Ashley; sisters: Sister Jeanne Marie S.C., Florence Zugelder, Joanne (Chuck) Shephardson of CA, and sister-in-law Pat (Bob) Trangenstein; and many neices and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Thursday, February 5, 2004 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 605 Granville Pl., with Fr. Paul DeLuca, celebrant. Family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Wednesday at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home 4104 Needmore Road. If desired, donations may be made in Robert's memory to Hospice of Dayton.
