Robert "Bob" Z, age 73, of Miamisburg, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 29, 2019.
Bob was born on July 22, 1946 in Buffalo, NY to the late Gerard & Marie Ziegler.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gregory and Bill Ziegler.
Bob is survived by his children, Gerard "Jerry" (Lindsay) Ziegler, Michael (Angela) Ziegler, Bobby Ziegler and Annie Ziegler; grandchildren, Jocelyn, Libby, Gavin, Chloe and Adam; sisters, Cathy Wilson and Clarice Ziegler; brother, Gerard "Jerry" Ziegler; and many other relatives and friends.
Bob was a retired U.S. Army Veteran, he proudly served for over 23 years. He also served for the Dept. of Veteran Affairs as a police officer. Bob loved gold prospecting and was an avid hunter.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 11am – 12pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439. The service will follow at 12 pm. Bob will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery with military honors.
