Robert Yenger

YENGER, Robert, age 81, of Riverside, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert D. Yenger; brothers, Carl, Albert and Jack Yenger; sisters, Kate Doolan, and Delores Gifford. He is survived by Mary, his loving wife of 57 years; son Raymond (Ann Marie) Yenger; daughter Debbie (Gary) Richardson; grandchildren, Samantha, Dawn (Rob), Jacob (Jenny), Robby, David, Bryan; nine great-grandchildren; sisters Mildred Flaugher, Phyllis Thompson, Dorothy Reker; brothers Larry Yenger, Paul Yenger; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors and friends. Robert was a Dayton Firefighter for 29 years, a Navy veteran, a member of VFW post 9927, and Amvets post 0099. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 AM Friday September 7, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Funeral services will be held 10 AM at the funeral home following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society - directed towards Friends and Heroes for national research grant focused on pediatric blood cancers, 2300 Wall St., Suite H, Cincinnati, OH 45212.
