Robert "Bob" Williams, age 65, of Englewood, Ohio, passed away at home on December 26, 2021. He was born on December 2, 1956 to Phyllis and James Williams. Bob was preceded in death by his father, James Williams; brother Danny Williams; and parent-in-laws Bob and Mary Ellen Holmes.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Susan Williams; daughter Ashley (Dezmond Fritz) Williams; son by choice Shawn Holmes; loving granddaughter Mikayla "Buggy" Farrar; mother Phyllis Williams; stepmother Patricia Williams; siblings James Williams, Sandy (Carl) Rudolph, Kerry WIlliams, Sharon (Ron) Robert; brother-in-laws Scott (Bev) Holmes, Jeff (Melanie) Holmes, and Doug (Sandy) Holmes; sister-in-law Cheri (Timothy Manson) Glanton; great nieces Zoey, Ava, Ellie, Mila, Lilah, and great nephew CJ; his dog Midnight, numerous nieces, nephews, and other friends and family.
Bob wore many hats, he never met a stranger and would help anyone. He was a son, husband, father, grandfather, a boss, and coached baseball for many years. His laugh and smile were contagious. There was never a dull moment when Bob was around.
Bob served in the Marine Corp for 6 years. He was very proud of his service to his country.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Needmore Chapel 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio, 45424. Visitation will be held an hour prior to service at 10 AM at the funeral home. Bob will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery.
