Robert "Bob" J. Wagner Jr., passed away on April 13, 2025. Born on January 30, 1954, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, known for his love of his family and his ornery and cantankerous sense of humor.

Bob dedicated a significant portion of his professional life as a camera operator and production technician with WDTN, where he used the training he received in the US Navy and Wright State University to work in television.

He graduated from Fairmont West High School. He was a proud United States Navy veteran, serving on the USS Constellation, during the Vietnam War, a chapter of his life that instilled in him a strong sense of patriotism, discipline, and camaraderie. Following his military service, he pursued higher education at the University of Dayton, and Wright State University, establishing a foundation that would allow him to share his knowledge to his children and grandchildren.

Bob's hobbies reflected his zest for life. He was particularly fond of The Cleveland Browns, NASCAR, hockey, and spent many spirited years riding motorcycles with family and friends, displaying a thrill for adventure that resonated with those around him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anita; their two children, Andrew (Anne) Wagner and Jennifer Wagner; and his cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Reuben, Lilly, and Archer. Robert also leaves behind his siblings, Harold, Jim (Sandy), Laura (Delbert), Alice, Nellie, Kathy (Don), Louis, Henry, Bill, Larry, and Annette.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Suzanne and his mother, Mary; and several siblings: Mary, Dorothy, Floyd, Daniel and Michelle. Robert's legacy will endure through the stories he told, the values he imparted, and the love he spread to those fortunate enough to know him. His proudest accomplishments lay in being a father and grandfather and nurturing the next generation with wisdom and love, ensuring that his spirit would continue to thrive in the hearts of his family.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Church 310 Allen Street Dayton, Ohio 45410 or a charity of your choice.
