Heaven got a little brighter as a new Angel arrived, Robert H. "Bob" Tuma, passed away on 10/31/18 in Kettering.
He is survived by his children, Mark, Karen, Julie and Steve Tuma, of Aurora, IL, Jennifer (Josh) Maloy, of Lima, OH, Jeffrey Tuma, of Greenville, OH, Jill (Dillion) Class, of Brookville, OH; mother of his children, Anne Tuma; 2 granddaughters, Peyton Class, of Brookville, OH and Brianna Maloy, of Lima, OH; 2 brothers, Raymond Jr. (Rita) and Thomas Tuma, of Lake Holiday, IL; sister, Dolores Lisy, of Aurora, IL; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Sr. & Helen (Krantz) Tuma, of Aurora, IL and an infant son, Jeremy Tuma.
He was an avid Chicago Bears, Bulls and Cubs fan. He had a passion to help anyone in any way possible.
Bob spent most of his "retirement" from spring through fall with his friends on Marilake Drive in Kettering, taking care of their flowers and lawn upkeep. Not even the rain could keep Bob from mowing the grass, umbrella in hand. He often delivered his home grown tomatoes to those he loved. Bob was incredibly loyal to his family and friends. He knew no stranger. Bob will be missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 2-4 pm at Newcomer South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439. A celebration of life will follow at 4 pm. Don't forget your pop tops!
Bob will be laid to rest at David's Cemetery with a private family ceremony.
