Robert "Dean" Tackett

Robert "Dean" Tackett, age 69, of Dayton passed away on June 6, 2024. He was born in Dayton on June 29, 1954 to the late Charles and Alva Tackett. In addition to his parents, Dean is preceded in death by his sister, Rosanne "Rosie" Dell.

Dean is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Nancy; children, Aleda (Phil) Caldwell, Krista Tackett, Nathaniel Tackett; 10 grandchildren including, Morgan Caldwell, Avalon Caldwell, Alexander Caldwell, Isabella Caldwell and siblings, Donald (Cathy) Tackett, Vaughn (Jill) Tackett and Daniel Tackett; along with many other family and friends. 

Dean retired from United Grinding Technologies. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and enjoyed vacationing in the Outer Banks. Dean loved to garden and spend time with his grandchildren, who will always remember him as Iron Man. He never knew a stranger and made friends everywhere he went. Dean will be deeply missed and forever loved by those who knew him.
