Robert J. Swihart

Robert J. Swihart, age 86 of Tipp City, went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2017. He was born April 26, 1930 in South Bend, IN to the late Floyd and Anna Swihart.
Robert is survived by his wife of 61 years, Phoebe Swihart; children: Kathleen Evans, Michael (Pam) Swihart, Linda (Bryan) Weeks, Stephen (Vareena) Swihart, Jeffery (Elizabeth) Swihart, Jennifer (Joshua) Griffin and Lori (Matthew) Aragon; 26 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He retired as an Engineer from Joyce Dayton Corporation after 40 years of service and also retired as President from BSF, Inc.
Visitation will be held from 5:30 - 8:30 pm on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday at Community Bible Church, 1427 W. Main Street, Tipp City. Burial and Military Honors will follow at Wheelock Cemetery, Nashville, OH. Contributions may be made in Robert's memory to Hospice of Miami County.
