STEMLEY, Robert "Bob" Eugene, 81, passed to the Lord suddenly on October 6 at Sycamore Hospital. Bob was the youngest of the twelve children of Blanche and Joseph Stemley of New Weston, Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife of seventeen years, Frances and children, Cindy and Doug Barnett, Marsha Croft, Carl and Connie Stemley, Julie and Joe Saluke, Elaine and Doug Baker, Mike and Paula Shigley and Cheryl and Gerald Josephson; two sisters, Pauline Flemming and Bernadette Cotter; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grand children along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife Eleanor (Reichert) Stemley; four children: Bobby, Miriam, Stephen and an infant son; his parents, along with nine siblings: Charlie, Joe, Ted (Ambrose), Lee, June, Lucy, Annarita, Frances and Mary Margaret. Bob was a past Grand Knight, of K of C Council 3730 and held numerous State K of C offices, owned his own Plastering Company and retired from SKS Corporation. Bob enjoyed playing cards, fishing, family and friends. He was a WWII Army veteran who proudly served in the Pacific Theater and was awarded four bronze stars among other decorations. Bob will be sadly missed by all that knew him. Most recently, Bob and Frances resided in Bradenton, FL; previously of both Dayton and Hillsboro, OH. Visistation will be held at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd in Kettering from 5-8 PM, Sunday October 10 with Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church in Dayton at 11 AM Monday October 11. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for Masses or to the charity of your choice.
