Robert Shaw

Robert M. "Bob" Shaw, age 81 of Vandalia, passed away September 29, 2014. He was born June 4, 1933 in Pottsville, PA, one of twenty children to the late Thomas and Katherine Shaw. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Caroll Shaw Brixey.

Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy Shaw; daughter and son-in-law: Margie and Greg Thacker; grandchildren: Audrey, Angie (Dana), Amy, Amanda (Mike), Shawn (Capri) and Mike; and great grandchildren: Taylor, Kaylie, Mikenzie, Kobe, Mason, Reed, Zoey and Nathan.

Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Korean War. He retired from Ohio Bell and had many accomplishments in life.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at St. Christopher Catholic Parish, 435 E. National Road, Vandalia. Rev. Francis Keferl, Celebrant. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bob's memory to St. Christopher Catholic Parish.
