Robert E. Schoone, age 62, of Moraine, passed away on May 4, 2021.

He was born April 26, 1959 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Donald Eugene and Anne Mae (Garland) Schoone. Robert attended Fairmont West High School, Sinclair Community College and Wright State University. He worked for Public Health Dayton Montgomery Co. as a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor for over 30 years. Robert was a friend of Bill W. He was a proud member of the NRA.

Robert is survived by his son, Jonathan Schoone; brothers, Donald E. (Debra) Schoone, Charles R. (Susan) Schoone; nieces, Miranda M. Schoone, Leanna R. Schoone; nephews, Uriah (Leolani) Langmeyer, Chris (Nichole) Langmeyer; great-niece, Hannah, great-nephew, William, and his many friends and co-workers.

In his younger years he enjoyed playing baseball and golf, and also was a singer in a band. He loved to ride his Soft Tail Harley, and enjoyed shooting with Jonathan at the Miamisburg Sportsmans Club.

Robert will always be remembered as a loving father, and for his calming and gentle spirit. His spirit will live on through the many lives he touched during his many years of counseling and AA involvement.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 3:00 pm until time of memorial service at 4:00 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
