Schelenz, Robert J. "Bob"age 94, of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 4, 1925 to the late Robert Alfred and Rebecca Schelenz (nee Fink).
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juive "Judy" Schelenz; brother, Lester Schelenz; and sister, Ellen Harlow.
Bob is survived by his beloved daughters, Nancy (Rick) Grile, Kathy (Garry "Mick") Hurst, and Carol (Nick) Driscoll; grandchildren, Doug, Amanda (Dave), Mark (Rachael), Matthew, Adam, Luke, Daniel, Dawn and Brian; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Claire, Gavin, Abigale, and Kaya; and a host of other family members and friends.
Bob served overseas in the United States Navy during WWII and retired after working 40 years at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as an engineer in the air propulsion lab. With the help of his father, he built his home in 1950 and handled renovations with his wife, Judy. He was a devoted husband and father and loved his grand & great-grandchildren. Bob was a man that took pride in his work, he had an annual vegetable garden, collected coins, and would help everyone with anything they needed. During his younger years, Judy and he would take long drives, play cards with family and friends, and was an avid walker. He will be truly missed.
