Robert Ransom

Robert H. Ransom, age 72 of Dayton, passed away November 27, 2014. He was born August 4, 1942 in Dayton to the late William and Dorothy Ransom. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Ransom.

Bob is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Bob and Jennifer Ransom; sister and brother-in-law: Charlotte and Jack McCarthy; nieces: Terri (John) Padgett and Wendy (Jim) Shepherd; and nephew, Kevin Mote.

Bob had a love for music; he enjoyed participating in community theatre, and listening to Broadway musicals and Gershwin.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 am. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made in Bob's memory to SICSA.
