Robert G. Potts "Bob"

Robert G. Potts "Bob", age 78 of West Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023. He was born November 22, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Charles and Ocie Potts. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of fifty years, Ramona Potts and special friend, Sandra Goray.
Bob is survived by his three children, Bobbi (Juan) Lledo, Debbi (Matt) Robbins, and Rob (Amy) Potts; five grandchildren, Heather (Kyle) Ray, CJ (Rachael) Riegel, Laura Robbins, Ashley Potts, Robbie Potts (Annie Wamsley); great-granddaughter, Violet Riegel; two siblings, Joan Hoover and Linda (JR) Davis; and very special companion, JoAnn Caupp. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Bob served in the United States Navy as a Yeoman 3rd Class from 1961-1965 on the USS Greenwich Bay AVP-41 and on the Shenandoah AD-26. He was proudly recognized as a participant in the Honor Flight. After retiring from APEX Tool and Die he spent the next several years as the owner alongside his wife, Ramona of 4200 Place restaurant in Moraine. After fully retiring, he enjoyed gardening and entertaining family and friends at the "House of Bob". He is well loved and will be deeply missed.
Bob would like to remind us all to "keep smiling" !
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, Ohio 45439). Funeral Service will be held the following day at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, Ohio 45439). Interment with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm at Dayton National Cemetery (4400 W 3rd St, Dayton, OH 45417).
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Patriot Guard Riders of Ohio (www.pgrohio.org/donate) or to American Legion Post 165 (35 N. Main St, Miamisburg, OH 45342) in Bob's memory.
