Robert Lee Poffenberger Jr., "Bobby," age 56 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born January 28, 1966 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Robert Poffenberger Sr. and Phyllis Sipe.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Poffenberger; sister, Sherry Lewis; son, Brian Gordon; soulmate and mother of his children, Lucinda Bauer; brother-in-law, Greg Kinsler; and nephew, Brian Kinsler.
Bobby is survived by his son, Robert (Melinda ) Poffenberger; daughter, Tina (Doob) Howell; sisters, Karen (Randy) Reese, Melinda Kinsler, Carlita Payton; grandchildren, Kane, Brian, and Brayden; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Bobby worked for Merker Iron for many years and had perfected his trade as a welder. The most important things in his life were his family and friends, especially his kids.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439). Funeral service will begin at 6 pm.
