Robert Phillips

PHILLIPS, Robert E. "Bob", age 63, of Beavercreek, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2011. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Phillips. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Charlotte Phillips; mother, Bonnie Phillips; daughters, Tina Moore (Mark) of New Carlisle and Tammie McCoy (Jamie) of Kettering; grandchildren, Antony Moore (Starla) Beale AFB, CA, Cora Moore of New Carlisle, Briana, Tyler, and Jeremy McCoy of Kettering; brothers, Rick Phillips (DeeDee) of Beavercreek and Frank Phillips (Linda) of Bellbrook; sister, Connie Hudson (T.J.) of Indian Lake; uncles, Don Phillips (Hester) and Ed Phillips (Diane); aunt, Pat Helmstadter (Wally), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bob was in the Navy Reserve Program in high school (1966) and went into active duty in 1967. He worked as a submarine tender on the USS Holland and as a pipefitter, silver brazer, and silver induction brazer. Bob retired after 42 years of service from his family's business (Phillips Co.), where he was also one of the vice presidents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Beaver Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Dayton.
