Robert Lee "Bob" Peacock, Sr., age 74, of Dayton, passed away on January 18, 2022, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on May 28, 1947, the son of the late Clifford and Pearl Florence.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eugene Peacock; and sister, Doris Proffitt.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Joan Peacock; children, Ricky Traver, Tammy (Danny) Skinner, Pamela (Travis) Anderson and Robert Peacock, Jr.; grandchildren, Kristina (Scott), Josh (Tori), Brandon, Kylie, and Alina; great grandchildren, Penny and Aurora; sisters, Neva Shrieves and Patty Sebastian; and many other loving family and friends.
Bob proudly served his country by serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War in Europe. Bob worked for many years as an Aircraft Mechanic and Pilot. He was a member of the American Legion and the Buzzing Buzzards Model Plane Club for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed making/flying his model airplanes and rockets, woodworking, leather work, building model trains, boxing, riding his motorcycle, fishing, golfing, playing his guitar and spending time with his family. Bob was quite the storyteller, always sharing funny stories with those he knew. He was always there for those he loved. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm, with Robert Sebastian officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
