Robert Dewey Paul, age 88 of Beavercreek, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Traditions of Beavercreek. He was born September 12, 1932 in Springfield, Ohio the son of John and Mildred Paul.
Dewey proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion and a devout member of Ascension Catholic Church. He and his wife, Barbara, are well known for teaching clogging with Dew-Bob Cloggers and performing on many stages, even the Grand Ole Opry. He enjoyed camping over the years with the entire neighborhood in Dale Hollow. They spent nearly 20 years in Florida and made many friends. Dewey was a good man that was full of life and never met a stranger. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Dewey met the love of his life, Barbara, at a dance when they were teenagers. They danced all night, even when the music stopped playing. From that moment on they knew they were meant to be together and such has held true for 69 years.
Dewey is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Barbara; daughters, Deborah Dawn & Kimberly (Gregory) Beach; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and many other loving friends and family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his twin sisters.
A Mass will be held at a later date when the family can safely gather.
