Robert A. Pancoast, age 91, passed away on March 7, 2014 in Dayton, OH.
Robert was born September 14, 1922 in Cincinnati, OH to Cyril O. and Ethel (Ahrendts) Pancoast. Robert graduated from Middletown High School, OH in 1940. He served in the Army during WWII. He returned to graduate from the University of Cincinnati in 1948. He worked for Cutler-Hammer Inc (Eaton Corp) for 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Marie (Babs) (Haines) and their granddaughter, Courtney Anne Wooten.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa L. (Swafford) of Glendale, OH; sister, Janet Cassady of Louisville, CO; 4 daughters: Carole Wooten, Atlanta, GA; Judith Pancoast, San Diego, CA; Barbara Pancoast, Pocatello, ID; Melissa Pancoast (Jeff Linville), Centerville, OH; 7 grandchildren: Steven Young, Megan (Young) Gronlund, Holly Young, Peter Young, Sarah Linville, Jordan Linville & Levi Linville; 2 nieces: Sheila (Roger) Hollenbaugh, Beavercreek, OH & Justine Cassady ( Ron Cutadean), Louisville, CO.
A memorial service will be held Monday March 17, 2014 at 10am at the Normandy United Methodist Church, Centerville, OH.
Arrangements are by the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
