Robert F. Mitchell Sr.

Robert F. Mitchell Sr., "Bobby," age 83 of Riverside, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born August 5, 1933 in Ewing, Kentucky, the son of the late George and Jesse Mitchell.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Charleigh Bilotta; brothers, Marvin and George Mitchell; sisters, Francis Vaughn, Dorothy Roseberry and Charlotte Lawson.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bettie Ann; children, Brenda (Terry) Morrow, Rebecca Lynn (Gary) Watson; Brian "Charlie" (Leah) Mitchell, Deena Isham and Robert F. Mitchell Jr.; grandchildren, Michael Bilotta, Valarie (Jerry) Emery, Jonathan (Jennifer) Bilotta, Emerald (Abram) Brown, Jacob Mitchell, Mitchell Bilotta, Madison Mitchell, Hannah Miller, Rachael Warrix; great grandchildren, Emma Emery, Rori Emery, Jerrod Emery; brothers, Shirley (Earline) Mitchell, Warner Mitchell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Bobby served his country in the United States Air Force in the Korean War. He retired from National Museum of the USAF and Mad River Local School System. He was also an active member of VFW Post 657 in Riverside, OH.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 2 pm at Dayton National Cemetery, 4100 W. Third St., Dayton, OH 45428. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Red Cross in Bobby's memory.
