Robert "Bob" Minoughan, age 87 of Kettering, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023. He was born March 13, 1936 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to the late John and Francis Minoughan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Minoughan; sister, Peggy Coles; and brother, John Minoughan.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Bernadette Minoughan; daughter, Colette (Mark) Dunn; two sons, Michael (Carol) Minoughan and John (Susan) Minoughan; five grandchildren, Caitlin, Max, Shay, Michael (Chelsea), and Kelly Minoughan; two great-grandchildren, Rory and Finley; and sister, Mary Murphy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was a man of strong character. Bob retired from Simon De Chatlet Dental Lab after 51 years of service and passed on his strong work ethic to his children. He enjoyed talking with people and sharing stories whether he was working as a dental technician, buying or selling a car, attending meetings at Al-Anon or the Peace Museum, or spending family time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Bob mentored many and entertained more than a few. He loved to read the local newspaper and keep up with current events, car prices, and consumer reports. In his younger days, Bob loved both playing and watching ice hockey, it hearkened back to his Canadian youth. He was also a dedicated member of the MG car club for many years. Bob was loved by many and he will be missed.
